Pinnacle ENT Associates sponsors Rockin' DOCS Benefit Concert

Almost one year ago, while attending a JDRF fundraiser, two fathers of children with juvenile diabetes wondered what else they could do to help find a cure

And although neither father was a diabetes researcher, it turned out that both of them were physicians, and one of them (Jeremy) had even been diagnosed himself with Type 1 diabetes his second week of medical school.  It also turned out that both physicians were drummers in bands and both had independently considered how some kind of musical event could help raise funds for juvenile diabetes research. By the end of the night they had an idea to bring local physicians together to perform in an exciting rockin' show that could help bring their families (and thousands of other families) that much closer to a cure.  That, in a nutshell, is how Rockin' Docs for Diabetes Cure was conceived.  Within days Ken suggested the name for the fundraiser, and the concept became a concert event. The result brought together four rock bands comprised in varying degrees of physicians and guest physicians from Abington Memorial Hospital, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Doylestown Hospital.
